Wyoming Medicaid Tribal Uncompensated Care Section 1115 Demonstration The Wyoming Medicaid Tribal Uncompensated Care Demonstration proposes to financially assist Indian Health Services and tribal health facilities operating under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (herein referred to as "providers") in their critical role as essential health care providers for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The proposed demonstration has been designed as a disability diversion model intended to provide additional financial resources to qualifying facilities as determined eligible for medical assistance payments as defined in section 1911 [42 U.S.C. 1396]. The supplemental payments to the qualifying facilities will allow them to improve the health outcomes of Wyoming's AI/AN population and divert them from forming a medical condition that will qualify as a disability. The federal public comment period will be open from January 19, 2016 through February 17, 2016.
