New Jersey FamilyCare Comprehensive Demonstration - Extension Request

On February 28, 2022, New Jersey submitted its extension application requesting another 5 years. The state is proposing to continue the current demonstration elements while also seeking authority to add new programs and services such as continuous eligibility for adults, maternal and child health services such as a medically indicated meals pilot program and supportive visitation services, Medicaid covered housing related services, nursing home diversion and transition services such as housing, caregiver support and nutritional support, behavioral health services to include Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, pre-release services for incarcerated individuals and adding subacute psychiatric rehabilitation beds, a community health worker pilot program, and a regional health hub initiative. The 30-day federal public comment period will be open from March 11, 2022 through April 10, 2022
