Missouri Gateway to Better Health Amendment Application

On August 31, 2018, the Missouri Department of Social Services submitted an amendment to the Gateway to Better Health section 1115 demonstration. The amendment application proposes two modifications to the Gateway to Better Health demonstration: (1) The authority to provide a limited substance use disorder (SUD) benefit that includes office visits and generic prescription drugs for SUD treatment; and (2) update standard terms and conditions (STC) language to clarify that the state is not required to adhere to the rebate requirements of Section 1927 of the Social Security Act due to the limited nature of the Gateway to Better Health demonstration prescription drug benefit. The federal comment period will be open from October 1, 2018 through October 30, 2018.
