Rhode Island Comprehensive Demonstration Extension Request On May 23, 2024, Rhode Island submitted an addendum to its extension request for its Medicaid section 1115(a) demonstration entitled the “Rhode Island Comprehensive Demonstration.” This addendum aims to provide health-related social needs (HRSN) and contingency management (CM) services to eligible individuals. The addendum also provides updates to the state’s request for pre-release supports for incarcerated individuals by requesting 90 days of pre-release coverage and including additional details about the pre-release services. The state's goals are to improve health equity through strong community-clinical linkages that support beneficiaries in addressing social determinants of health, including ensuring access to stable housing and to continue to ensure expanded access to high-quality integrated behavioral healthcare that is focused on prevention, intervention, and treatment. The federal comment period will be open from June 8, 2024, through July 7, 2024.
