MassHealth - June 2021 Amendment
On June 8, 2021, Massachusetts submitted a request to amend its section 1115 demonstration, entitled "MassHealth," to expand eligibility by updating Medicare Savings Program income limits to align with state law and extend post-partum coverage, enhance services for individuals with justice involvement living in the community, and expand flexibilities related to place of service that were offered by CMS during the COVID-19 public health emergency (e.g., Acute Hospital Care at Home). The Commonwealth's goal with this amendment is to continue progress toward universal health care coverage, promote health equity, and extend flexibilities in the delivery of health care services. The federal public comment period will be open from June 25, 2021 through July 25, 2021.
