SoonerCare - 2-year extension

Oklahoma requests a 2-year extension of the SoonerCare 1115 demonstration through December 31, 2018, which currently expires on December 31, 2016. The SoonerCare demonstration provides Medicaid beneficiaries with Medicaid state plan benefits including unlimited physician visits (as medically necessary), as compared to the state plan which limits physician visits to four per month, including specialty visits. The demonstration covers non-disabled and disabled working adults, parents of children in state custody, employees of not-for-profit organizations, full-time college students ages 19-22, parents, and non-pregnant, childless adults. Parents and non-pregnant, childless adults whose income is at least 100 percent of the federal poverty limit receive Medicaid state plan benefits through the Insure Oklahoma Premium Assistance program. The federal public comment period will be open from October 13, 2016 through November 12, 2016.
