New Mexico Centennial Care - 2017 Extension Application

New Mexico submitted an extension application for the Centennial Care demonstration beginning January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2023. The state is seeking to continue the programs currently authorized and authority to implement changes during the extension period. The current demonstration provides comprehensive statewide Medicaid managed care, home and community based services and beneficiary rewards to the majority of the state's eligible Medicaid beneficiaries. The demonstration also provides for a safety net care pool program; comprised of an uncompensated care and hospital quality incentive initiative pools. The changes the state is requesting include: care coordination improvements, benefit and delivery system modifications, payment reforms, member engagement and personal responsibility provisions and administrative simplification through refinements to Medicaid eligibility. The federal public comment period will be open from December 21, 2017 - January 30, 2018.
