Iowa Family Planning Network Renewal

The state of Iowa has submitted a request to renew their Iowa Family Planning Network demonstration without changes. The program provides family planning services for women and men under 55 years of age, with household income that does not exceed 300 percent of the federal poverty level. Postpartum women who have concluded a Medicaid-covered pregnancy and postpartum period are also eligible. The goals of the demonstration are to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and to lengthen the intervals between pregnancies for better maternal and newborn health. The federal public comment period will run from July 19, 2016 through August 18, 2016.
