Michigan Brain Injury Waiver

Michigan requests a new 5-year section 1115 demonstration to provide services and supports to beneficiaries suffering from qualifying brain injuries, who, but for the provision of these services, would otherwise be served in an institutional setting. These services include brain injury-specific rehabilitation and support in the post-acute period following a moderate or severe brain injury, with the goal of helping participating beneficiaries be as independent as possible. The federal comment period will be open from January 13, 2017 through February 12, 2017.
