Healthy Texas Women

On June 30, 2017, Texas submitted a new section 1115(a) Medicaid demonstration application to enhance women's health care services by extending eligibility for family planning services, at no cost, to women, ages 15 to 44, with net family income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, and who does not have any other creditable health coverage. The demonstration will be called the "Healthy Texas Women" program and is proposed to be effective September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2023. The federal public comment period will be open from July 5, 2017 through August 4, 2017.
